Casalguidi

The village of Casalguidi have about 13 km from Serravalle. The name Casalguidi originally composed solely by the word "Casal," purchased with the settling of worship local Guidi, the new suffix to indicate the place lordship present. In the past during 1132 was occupied by rural populations that began to expand occupying various lands nearby. In 1301 the village was destroyed by Corso, in March on Pistoia. The village was razed to the ground during the attack by Jacopo del Verme, by the Florence, to try to stop the invasion. The fifteenth century was characterized by a period of peace, due to an impoverishment of the territory and follow-declining birth rate.
